  3. the gods have heard my whining.

    One of my bff’s works at Radio Shack as an assistant manager, so I’m almost guarunteed the job.

    Also, I have an interview at The Booking Group.

    Crap on a stick. I should probably apply to the Paper Mill Playhouse job as well…just in case.

    I haven’t exercised since my last hike since I’ve been really exhausted and feeling icky. I’ve eaten really well. 

    I’m going to go flop in my bed now. My room is so messy, but I just don’t care because I’m so tired.

    2. Government: No.
    3. Woman: I got pregnant but I cannot afford to have a child and I'm not ready to be a parent. Can I have an abortion?
    4. Government: No.
    5. Woman: I had the child, but I cannot afford to raise him. Will you help me out?
    6. Government: No.
    7. Woman: I guess I'll have to give my child up for adoption.
    8. Barry and Steve: We would love to raise your child. We have been in a committed relationship for 15 years. We have steady careers and are very successful and financially stable. We love children and wish to provide a loving nurturing environment for your child. Would you be willing to give your child to us?
    9. Woman: Sure, as long as it's ok with the government.
    10. Government: No.

  6. woe.

    I feel like an absolute failure. I can’t find a job or an internship. It’s extremely disheartening, and call me selfish, but other people’s success in my field (especially my classmates) makes me angry and want to throw up.

    Why not me? Is it because of my graduating GPA? Does everyone secretly know that I couldn’t even hack a 3.0 because Kean punished me with a 2.96? Is it because I’m overweight? Is it because I didn’t go to Rutgers, NYU, Columbia, Yale, Carnegie Mellon? It must be because I’m extremely animated and loud, right? Maybe they just hate my Jersey accent?

    But I have business cards and mailed out my internship paperwork extremely quickly! I even have fancy paper and can properly write a cover letter! 

    I know there’s properly thousands out there like me, perhaps even by the tens and hundreds who are searching for the approval of the professional organizations in their field. It’s okay I have to start at the bottom of the food chain again, but I feel like one of those assholes who will never be able to hack it in the real world, although everyone tells me different.

    I want to start over in NYC so badly, but I feel like it will never happen.
